Hiany Dipapidis is an assistant coach and currently a brown belt. He started training back in 2018 as a way to lose weight and never stopped. In 2023, Enrique asked him if he would like to be involved in the gym in a greater capacity, and the rest is history.

Hiany grew up doing sports such as basketball and Taekwondo, and dabbled a bit in the Brazilian national sport of football but didn’t fancy it much. He also tried his hand at Jiu Jitsu because his brothers trained, but struggled to find the time after moving to London. At a particularly low point in life, he decided that something needed to change, and it was then that he rediscovered Jiu Jitsu.Jiu jitsu has helped him not only to improve his fitness, but also his mental fortitude. He has never been a very competitive person, but the discipline of training has given him some confidence to step out of his comfort zone.

As a coach, Hiany is extremely patient and dedicated to helping students build a foundation, gain confidence, and grow on the mats. He loves to share what he has learned with the others, and seeing students develop the ability to execute new or improved techniques is particularly exciting for him.

Hiany teaches the early morning classes on Mondays and Wednesdays, and the Beginners No-Gi on Saturday mornings. He also assists in all the other classes throughout the week and is available for private classes from Monday to Saturday, morning and lunch time.
